Hi everyone. I finally get to share my thoughts about my recent acquisition. I haven't had the chance to post about it, I've been busy with other stuff. In part I'm glad, because now I get to see all iPhone glitches. I've had it for almost 15 days now, and I'm bringing you the real stuff behind the iPhone 4s (the most amazing iPhone yet?).
We have all heard about iPhone 4s software defects, that apparently have been fixed by upgrading to iOS 5.0.1. I haven't had the chance to upgrade yet, as I believe there are other important things to check first (cough cough... jailbreak... cough).
Let's go with basic first and yet most heard issue of all. The battery. You all have heard there are battery issues with the iPhone. I dare to say I don't find any massive issues with the battery. I tested the battery charge I received the phone with from factory.
The results weren't quite disappointing. It took almost day and a half considering I played with it a lot. I played with settings, Siri, video recording and other stuff just as many do when receiving a new phone. The only piece of charge the phone received is when I plugged it in to iTunes to sync my contacts back. About 5 minutes.

As I mention, I wasn't disappointed with the results at that specific moment. A 75% factory charged phone that took almost two days to drain the battery off, it's quite of a nice thing. After full charge, the iPhone took less than factory charge.
The second thing I noticed is that when battery is draining and you get that annoying alert of 10% remaining battery, it gives you an alert stating 100% Remaining Battery instead. I couldn't replicate the issue to obtain a screenshot, but I got that message wrong at least three times now.
The other feature everyone noticed by now, is that the iOS release can now be updated through the iPhone itself. I think it's one of the greatest Apple's improvement in the iPhone, iPod and iPad, the fact that you don't need a computer anymore to use them. It was sort of a restriction a few years ago. It was horrible to consider that you needed to have a PC if you wanted an iPhone or iPod.
If safe to update, I will be testing it later on.
The other thing I'm fully satisfied with, is the camera. The photos and video are amazing, considering I upgraded from a 3Gs straight into a 4s. I didn't want to upgrade to iPhone 4, specially after all matters with signal and other stuff. My 4s barely lost its signal while under a bridge. Check the pictures out., click on them to enlarge.

Browsing speed is just great. It works really good while in both 3G or WiFi, specially WiFi. Even with Android doing great in smartphone market, I feel like I'm not moving out of iOS in a while. I've had it for 4 years now and never get bored.
I think people who switch in between smartphones, is because they either don't know what they want, or they just don't know how to use the damn phone. It's a true fact, I've met people who get bored of their iPhones because they say they don't know how to use it. They all use it for iPod, Browsing and that's all.
Same happens with people switching from Windows Phone to Android and vice verse. And some cases, I've seen them returning to iOS eventually. The idea is to get to know your device well, so that you can take advantage of each feature and learn to love it.
