Many of you may have experienced issues where your device gets stuck in an infinite loop. If you are in this situation where you can't take your device out of booting into the Apple logo over, and over again, you may want to take a look into this guide.
First thing to do, is if the device is stuck in that state due to the fact that you messed it up attempting to jailbreak. If that's the case, you might encounter some issues, and you will either need to restore to a non-jailbreak mode, or your recovery will be a little more complicated.
But do not worry about that now, let's focus on the fix.
If your device is ON for any reason, but stuck somewhere, you want to turn the device off and attempt to restore.
Scenario Sample 1:
Your device is stuck in the Apple logo, you have never jailbroken (hacked) your device, and you are not sure why it happened. It turns on, it sits in the Apple logo and after about 3 minutes it turns itself off and it does it again until the battery dies.
1. Plug the USB cable into your device. (Do not plug it to the PC yet).
2. Turn the device off by pressing and holding the power/lock button.
3. Once the device has turned off, press and hold the home button.
4. While holding the home button, plug the USB cable into the PC. Do not release the home button.
5. Your device will go into a recovery mode, with a "Connect to iTunes" screen. Go into iTunes and restore your device by clicking in "Restore"
If your device fails to restore, that's probably because you messed up during a jailbreak, or that your device was somehow modified or customized using some sort of jailbreak. Or perhaps is something simple. Always ensure iTunes is up to date.
Scenario Sample 2:
Your device is stuck somehow in a circle or Apple logo, is an infinite loop and your device was either previously hacked/jailbroken, or you just can't restore your device using Scenario Sample 1 steps.
1. Ensure your device is on.
2. Using a real clock, press and hold both power/lock and home button for 10 seconds.
3. At second 11, release power button without releasing the home button. Hold it until iTunes states your device is in recovery mode. This is also known as "DFU Mode".
Scenario Sample 3:
Your device is out of battery and stuck in the Apple logo. If you attempt to put your device in recovery or DFU, battery drains.
1. Leave it plugged in for about 15 minutes.
2. Unplug it from the PC, but do not unplug from the device.
3. Turn it off by pressing the power button for about 5 seconds.
4. Press and hold the home button and plug the device back into the PC.
Scenario Sample 4:
Your device is stuck in a loop, and can't turn it off by pressing and holding the power button.
1. Plug the device into the USB cable. Do not plug it to the PC.
2. While turned on, press and hold both power/lock and home button.
3. As soon as it turns OFF, release the power/lock button without releasing the home button.
4. Quickly without releasing home button, plug the USB cord (already attached to the device) back into the PC.
I might be posting a video on this, it's hard to replicate each scenario, but I know some people are even selling their devices for a low cost believing there's no fix. Even some Mac "Genius" or "Experts" can't determine how to fix. If you feel like providing feedback, tweet me @ViNnyb0ii
